Can I take my dog on the trails?

No pets are allowed on the unpaved, Nature Center trails. This is to protect wildlife at the nature preserve. Dogs are only permitted on the paved bike & hike path that circles the lake. Thank you for understanding!

I have questions about boating and/or fishing at Lake Galena.

Boating and fishing are only permitted on the south west side of the lake, and are not permitted at the northeast end where the Nature Center is located. This is to protect our wildlife preserve. You can find information on boating or fishing and boat rental here. With any further questions, you may contact the Parks and Recreation department at 215.757.0571.

Where can I purchase a launch permit for county park use?

You can purchase permits at the Parks and Recreation website here or at the Peace Valley Park Boat Rental.

I would like to rent a pavilion.

I found an injured or abandoned animal. What do I do?

Please contact Aark Wildlife and Rehabilitation Center at  215-249-1938. Please do not move or touch wild animals without their advice, and do not drop off any animals to PVNC or Aark without being instructed to do so.
