We all know that spending time in nature can help relieve stress and anxiety, improve your mood and boost feelings of happiness and well-being. But did you know that knitting (and crocheting) can lower heart rate and blood pressure and reduce harmful blood levels of stress hormones? Join us as we explore the benefits of knitting surrounded by the beauty of nature. The group is open to all skill levels, including newer knitters who need help reading patterns, choosing yarns, needles etc. and beginners who have never knitted before. We can make recommendations for patterns and locally sourced supplies to help you on your knitting journey. We don't want to exclude our community of crocheters! You are welcome! Our group leaders have only limited experience in crochet but we are willing to learn any new fiber related skill. These are open sessions, no pre-registration necessary. Limited to adults and children 14 and over.
