The Friends of Peace Valley Nature Center offers a paid summer internship to qualified applicants interested in environmental education, interpretation, and parks and recreation. The 750-acre facility in historic Doylestown, PA offers 14 miles of hiking trails, various native habitats, a public nature center, robust education programs, and is a designated Important Bird Area (IBA).
Interns work closely with PVNC staff to receive in-depth training in:
• Public education and interpretation
• Trail maintenance
• Visitor services
Field trips to our sister nature centers are offered to round out intern’s understanding of how public nature centers engage their communities. Interns will complete an individual research or work project.
